Urge the KY General Assembly to Pass Pro-Life Bills
Thanks to the hard work of pro-life leaders in the General Assembly, Kentucky has strong pro-life laws. However, the abortion cartel has launched a new attack on the preborn and their mothers with the proliferation of the abortion death pill. Thankfully, pro-life leaders can respond to this new challenge with legislation to strengthen our laws to protect babies and their mothers.HB 646 from Rep. Nancy Tate and Rep. TJ Roberts would create new penalties for abortion death pill traffickers who willfully violate Kentucky's laws. The bill would designate the abortion death pill as a controlled substance, increase criminal penalties on traffickers, and would also create new financial penalties for those violating Kentucky law. HB 646 would also create trafficking penalties for those who send suicide pills into Kentucky.Additionally, pro-life leaders have introduced important legislation to create a culture of life in Kentucky. HB 359 from Rep. Nancy Tate and SB 320 from Sen. Lindsey Tichenor would require schools to show a short video of the development of a child in the womb during health instruction. This simple and commonsense bill would ensure Kentucky's children see that preborn children are humans worthy of protection. Finally, HB 52 from Rep. Shane Baker would require schools to teach the success sequence. The success sequence is a simple strategy for young people to follow to set themselves up for success: high school graduation, full-time employment, and marriage before having kids. The success sequence is statistically proven to improve life outcomes, and Kentucky's students should be informed of this good life practice, which would ultimately reduce abortions and strengthen the family unit. Please ask your state legislators & House leadership to support pro-life and pro-family HB 646, HB 359/SB 320, and HB 52.
