Encourage KY Legislators to Ban Harmful DEI in K-12 Schools

In recent years, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) policies have exploded in popularity in colleges and universities, K-12 schools, and even state and local governments. While supporters claim DEI supports equality, DEI policies are actually connected with discriminatory concepts, like critical race theory (CRT) and queer theory (QT). These harmful ideologies and practices have no place in our schools. Taxpayers should not be forced to fund failed, harmful DEI, and Kentucky kids must not be indoctrinated by these divisive theories. The General Assembly must put an end to it in Kentucky!

Sen. Lindsey Tichenor has introduced SB 26, which would ban DEI in Kentucky's K-12 schools. This bill would ban taxpayer funding for DEI programs and would end discrimination in hiring practices within K-12 schools. Additionally, SB 26 would end current DEI mandates from the Kentucky Department of Education.

Last session, the General Assembly passed HB 4, which banned DEI in Kentucky's colleges and universities. Now, the General Assembly must give K-12 students those same protections. It is time to end DEI in all Kentucky schools once and for all!

Please take action today to encourage the General Assembly to ban harmful DEI policies in K-12 schools.
