Call to Action: Commit to Pray for Your KY Legislators & Send them a Message!

The 2026 Kentucky General Assembly is underway in Frankfort! This year’s legislative session is the longer budget session and will consist of 60 full legislative days, ending on April 15. The Bible instructs us to pray for everyone in positions of authority, so that we may live in peace, godliness, and dignity (1 Timothy 2:1-2). Our elected officials carry great responsibility, and they need the Lord's wisdom, strength, and divine guidance to lead well. Whether we agree with every decision or not, God calls us to lift them up in prayer.

As we begin our “Let Us Pray” devotionals for 2026, we will be taking time during the legislative session to encourage you to pray, by name, for all our elected leaders in the Kentucky House and Senate. Let us commit to praying regularly for our Kentucky governmental leaders to lead in ways that bring honor and glory to Jesus Christ, support God-honoring public policy, and are a blessing to our Commonwealth. The best place to start is by praying for your own Kentucky House and Senate member and committing yourself to faithfully engage as salt and light.

Please take action today to send an encouraging message to your legislators that you will be praying for them this legislative session. By sending a message you can also be added to our Let Us Pray list.
