Tell Congress to Sunset Section 230 and Protect Children from Exploitation Online!

For decades, Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act has given Big Tech companies a sweeping legal shield—allowing them to profit from harmful and exploitative content while avoiding accountability in court. This immunity has enabled online sexual exploitation, abuse, trafficking, and other serious harms, leaving survivors without meaningful paths to justice.

Senators Graham (R-SC) & Durbin (D-IL) have introduced legislation to sunset Section 230, forcing Congress to finally confront the real-world consequences of unchecked tech immunity. This bill would repeal Section 230 and delete it from codeafter two years, creating urgent pressure for long-overdue reform and restoring accountability to powerful platforms.

This is a critical moment. Big Tech lobbyists are already working to stop reform—but lawmakers need to hear from constituents who want a safer, more responsible internet.

Contact your Members of Congress today and urge them to support the Sunset Section 230 Act. Survivors deserve justice, and tech companies must no longer be above the law.

Subject: Support the Sunset Section 230 Act to Protect Americans Online

Dear Senator/Representative [Last Name],

I am writing to urge you to support of the Sunset Section 230 Act, introduced by Sens. Graham (R-SC) & Durbin (D-IL) to sunset Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act.

Section 230 has evolved far beyond its original intent and now operates as a broad immunity shield for powerful tech companies—even when their platforms facilitate or profit from serious harms, including sexual exploitation, abuse, and trafficking. Survivors have repeatedly been denied justice because courts have interpreted Section 230 to block accountability.

The Sunset Section 230 Act represents a necessary and responsible step forward. By repealing Section 230 after a two-year period, this legislation creates urgency for Congress to enact meaningful reforms while ending the blanket immunity that has enabled harm to persist online.

This is about ensuring companies that design, operate, and profit from digital platforms are held to reasonable legal standards when their products cause real-world harm.

I respectfully urge you to support this legislation and work toward reforms that prioritize survivor protection, accountability, and public safety online.

Sincerely,

[Your Name]
