Take Action: Ensure The Best Education for Students Through Early Human Development Education
Pennsylvania students are currently missing out on a crucial aspect of education - early human life development. As our technology has advanced throughout the years, science curricula can easily fall behind. Sen. Michele Brooks and Rep. Joe Hamm have introduced legislation that would ensure students in Pennsylvania are empowered through scientifically factual information about the development of life in the womb.
SB 973 and HB 606 create a healthier Pennsylvania, where those who will raise the next generation will be equipped with knowledge to make informed and healthier choices, resulting in healthier pregnancies and healthier children. These bills would ensure the biology curriculum includes ultrasound videos showing vital organ development over seven specified gestational ages. The biology curriculum would also include high-quality, computer-generated animated renderings [i.e., a scientifically accurate motion picture] of an unborn baby’s development inside the mother’s womb and instruction on the effects of drugs, alcohol, and tobacco on the mother and child. Students can watch an unborn baby grow from the moment he or she is conceived until the time he or she is born.
This crucial education will help the next generation better understand the development of life and enable them to make healthier choices, ultimately leading to healthier pregnancies when the time comes.
It is time to bring Pennsylvania’s curriculum up to date and educate students about the beauty and intricacies of life in the womb. Ask your State Senator and State Representative to vote YES on SB 973 and HB 606.
