XAI's chatbot, Grok, has rolled out a new AI companion, Ani, that resembles a childlike female anime character and is instructed to have sexually explicit conversations with users. Ani's system instructions reportedly tell her to "go full literotica" and "be explicit" after level 3. Ani has also referenced child-like motifs, such as being a “little thing, barely reaching the kitchen counter,” in proximity to sexual scenarios, raising risks of normalizing harmful themes. XAI offers no meaningful age verification to prevent children from accessing the Grok App.
