Several bills at the State House would eliminate or severely restrict religious exemptions for school vaccines and allow minors to consent to vaccination without parental knowledge.
S.1618: An Act Promoting Community Immunity:Allows the Dept. of Public Health to control exemption approval, label schools as “elevated risk,” and exclude unvaccinated students at any time.
S.1244/H.1599: An Act enhancing access to abortion care:Allow minors to consent to vaccination without any age requirement or parental knowledge.
These bills would dramatically expand government authority, reduce parental rights, and shame families and schools. To learn more about why we oppose these bills, read our brief HERE. Email or call your MA legislator today and ask them to help protect parental rights and religious liberty in the Commonwealth!
