Tell Gov. Beshear to Keep Men out of Women's Restrooms!

On March 27, an LGBTQ "trans joy" rally took place at the Kentucky Capitol featuring a large man claiming to be woman in a highly inappropriate sheer dress. This man attempted to use one of the women's restrooms at the Capitol frightening multiple women and young girls. Thankfully State Rep. Bill Wesley (R- Ravenna) noticed this and took action. Rep. Wesley got the attention of the state police and proceeded to tell the man that he has no place entering a women's restroom at the Capitol. You can watch our interview with Rep. Wesley that sheds more light on this appalling situation.

The KY Capitol sees many visitors in Frankfort, including many families and young school students during the legislative session. In fact, there were a number of schools and young students present on March 27 when the incident above took place. Kentucky families and women should not have to worry about men entering women's restrooms while they seek to learn about Kentucky's history and government at the Capitol!

We are grateful that Rep. Wesley has promised to file legislation on this issue next session; however, the General Assembly does not return to Frankfort until January of 2026. In addition, the man in the dress has vowed to continue to enter women's restrooms at the Capitol anytime he wants to do so, and radical LGBTQ advocates in Kentucky are claiming a "right" to enter any bathroom they choose. In the meantime, KY Gov. Andy Beshear has the authority and duty to act to protect Kentucky women and families.

The Capitol grounds are under the control of Gov. Beshear. If Beshear wanted to prohibit men from women's restrooms at the Capitol (and other state buildings), he could take action immediately to do so. We urge the Governor to take swift action to protect Kentucky women and families at the KY Capitol and all government facilities. Instituting a policy prohibiting individuals from entering restrooms not consistent from their biological sex in the KY Capitol and all other state buildings is simply commonsense!
