The Baby Olivia Act (HB 397) has been assigned to the House Primary & Secondary Education Committee and needs to be scheduled for a hearing. In addition to your legislators, please also contact Rep. Scott Lewis, chair of that committee, and ask that he schedule a hearing for the Baby Olivia Act (HB 397).HB 397, the Baby Olivia Act, from Rep. Nancy Tate would require public schools in Kentucky to show a video of the development of a preborn child in the womb (watch the Baby Olivia video here). This legislation would ensure that Kentucky's kids understand that a preborn child is a human being worthy of the gift of life, just like those outside of the womb. If Kentucky is going to have a long lasting culture of life, its future leaders must be prepared to take up that mantle. HB 316 from Rep. TJ Roberts and SB 106 from Sen. Rawlings would create legal consequences for those who attempt to circumvent Kentucky's pro-life laws by smuggling abortion pills into the state. This bill is even more necessary due to the Biden Administration's careless actions to make the abortion pill easily accessible through the mail.
