Urge the General Assembly to Protect KY Taxpayers from Gender Ideology
UPDATE: SB 2 by Sen. Mike Wilson, an act that would prevent gender transition treatments and surgeries from being performed in state correctional facilities and from being paid for by taxpayer dollars, has passed the Kentucky Senate and heads to the House for consideration. On January 28, President Trump issued an Executive Order protecting our nation’s children from irreversible, harmful chemical and surgical mutilation. The order bans federal dollars from financing these barbaric operations on minors. We thank President Trump for keeping his promise to lead in protecting children at the federal level and for protecting our taxpayer dollars from being used to pay for these harmful, dangerous procedures on children. While this is a huge victory for our movement, the fight is not over! In Kentucky, these procedures have been banned for minors thanks to the passage of HB 150. However, we must take additional steps to ensure taxpayer funds at the state level are not used on these procedures for any individual regardless of age.As we have seen, the Beshear Administration has already attempted to use taxpayer funds to transition prisoners in the state’s correctional facilities. Your support of The Family Foundation enables us to push back against Governor Beshear’s harmful policies and work to protect children and our tax dollars here in the Commonwealth. Please support legislation, including HB 154 by Rep. Josh Calloway, to ban any taxpayer funding of gender “transition” procedures in Kentucky.
