Currently in Indiana, the government has more rights to attack you as a parent than you do to defend your right as a parent in our state’s court system.

Many other states throughout the nation have recognized this egregious abuse by the government and have sought to establish parental rights at the state level so that parents aren’t stuck fighting their state government in the federal courts, which is far more costly and burdensome for parents. Instead, they can hold their state government to account through the same means that the state government can pursue them.

It is our firm belief that parents’ rights should be protected at all levels of government, just as the First Amendment and freedom of speech. The state has oftentimes passed laws to affirm Constitutional rights in state law. This God-given responsibility of parenting should be protected and have equal footing under the law, meaning that parents should have the same opportunities to protect their rights as the government has to go after parents. In order to achieve that, Indiana must acknowledge parental rights within state law.

No parent should experience losing custody of their child to the state due to an ideological difference with the government.

If you would like to stand up to protect good Hoosier families by ensuring parental rights are recognized by the state as a fundamental right, please join us by contacting your state legislator TODAY. We urge you to let your legislators know Indiana should join 19 other states and safeguard the rights of Hoosier parents.

Will you join us in telling your state’s leaders parental rights are needed in Indiana?
