The Kids Online Safety Act will be marked up by the House Energy and Commerce Committee tomorrow. This is a vital step towards pushing KOSA to the House Floor, and to be signed into law in this Congress. After years of tireless advocacy by parents of children harmed by social media and advocates, KOSA is the first meaningful online child protection bill Congress has considered in nearly 25 years! Now, we must keep the momentum going. The Kids Online Safety Act (H.R. 7891) has 46 bipartisan cosponsors in the House, but we need to urge the House Energy and Commerce Committee to approve KOSA and pass it to the full House of Representatives. We need more cosponsors, and we need support from House leadership! Your Representatives need to hear that kids and families can’t wait. Please tell them to cosponsor the Kids Online Safety act by calling their office, and taking action below.
