This morning, Leader Schumer announced that he will bring the Kids Online Safety Act (S.1409) to the Senate floor for a vote this week! After years of tireless advocacy by parents of children harmed by social media and advocates across the nation, KOSA currently has 69 bipartisan Senate cosponsors – enough support to pass. We must continue the momentum to ensure that KOSA passes the Senate when it comes up for a vote!S.1409, the Kids Online Safety Act (KOSA), provides the most comprehensive solution of any bill pending before the 118th Congress. The Kids Online Safety Act (KOSA) changes social media platforms’ focus from a duty of profit— exploiting children’s developmental vulnerabilities—to a duty of care, protecting children’s safety and wellbeing. Children cannot wait one more day, let alone one more congressional session, for the essential protections that KOSA provides online. The time is now. Your Senators need to hear that they cannot wait any longer to #PASSKOSA. Please tell them to vote YES on the Kids Online Safety act by calling their office, and taking action below.
