The NC Senate has passed HB 823—Eliminate School Choice Program Waitlists to appropriate an additional $248 million for Opportunity Scholarships in the upcoming 2024-2025 school year and to relieve a waiting list of nearly 55,000 students and families who applied for educational scholarships. This measure is now pending in the NC House.
