Hold Big Tech Accountable Today

For far too long, Big Tech companies have largely ignored the sacred duty of protecting children by allowing bullying, harassment and inappropriate content to target children. The result of this abdication of duty was on full display in Congressional hearings as Mark Zuckerberg recently apologized to some of the surviving parents of social media’s victims.

Use the form below to write your U.S. Senators asking them to support the Kids Online Safety Act (S. 1409) which would require social media platforms to better protect children.

Fill out the form and click Next Step to take action.

Dear Senator:

I am writing to ask that you support S. 1409, the Kids Online Safety Act (KOSA), which has been introduced by Senators Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) and Richard Blumenthal (D-CT).

For far too long social media companies have turned a blind eye to the destructive effect their products are having on our nation’s youth. KOSA will finally force them to become a partner in our efforts to protect kids from online bullying, harassment, and exposure to dangerous behaviors. By employing additional safeguards for underage users and giving parents additional controls over their children’s social media use, KOSA will help families everywhere enjoy safer internet activity.

This bipartisan legislation is gaining support in the U.S. Senate. Will you commit to cosponsoring S. 1409 and helping move the bill to the floor of the U.S. Senate for a vote? Parents like me are counting on you to require Big Tech companies to act in our children’s best interests.

Please vote for this important legislation when it comes up for a vote. I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,
