In Indiana, both parental rights and teacher rights are under assault by many public school boards.

Pendleton Schools counselor, Kathy McCord, has spent decades faithfully serving the students in the South Madison County School district.  She was forced, against her beliefs, to tell teachers that they could not contact parents when their students sought a "Gender Support Plan."  While not even district policy, this directive forces teachers to even LIE to parents if parents inquire about their child seeking a "Gender Support Plan."  When Kathy was interviewed and shared the truth with the public the school board put her on leave, and just recently voted to terminate her contract.

Thankfully, community members in the Pendleton area are fighting to support Kathy and standing up for both parent rights and the rights of teachers to not violate their deeply held religious convictions or to have their speech compelled.

Parental rights are fundamental rights.  Please join IFI in supporting Kathy and click below to send a message to the South Madison Community School Board members in Pendleton, IN.  Not only should they re-instate Kathy to her counselor position, they must be urged to stop the practice of keeping secrets from parents.
Once you fill out the form below, the next screen will have a pre-written email to the school board that you can either send off directly or edit before sending.

Thank you for your help in protecting Hoosier families and standing up for transparency in how school staff interact with our children!
