Tell PA Congressmen: Stop the Attack on Marriage, Religious Freedom

Please take action using the form below.

The U.S. Senate has passed a radical bill that would have a detrimental impact on families across Pennsylvania, further eroding the definition of marriage and threatening more of your religious freedoms. It is now before the U.S. House for a vote.

The so-called "Respect for Marriage Act" would have far reaching negative consequences for individuals, nonprofit ministries and businesses, many of whom are already being attacked for their belief in natural marriage.

This legislation would not only force a redefinition of marriage in Pennsylvania and across the nation, but it would also:

  1. further exacerbate already-existing attacks on religious liberty due to the legalization of same-sex marriage,
  2. legislatively cement anti-family policies harmful to children,
  3. make faith-based adoption and foster-care agencies a greater target for frivolous litigation, curtailing or ending their ability to help children find homes,
  4. threaten the tax-exempt status of adoption and foster care agencies and other vitally needed non-profit organizations, whether religious or secular,
  5. effectively deputizes activist groups to sue religious individuals, organizations, and businesses that operate according to their sincerely held religious belief that marriage is between one man and one woman, and,
  6. licensed ministers who performed marriage ceremonies may also be targeted

While there are questions with possible litigation, there’s no question the proposed Act subjects religious people, businesses, and organizations to countless new lawsuits merely for practicing their faith.

Please contact your U.S. Representative and ask him to oppose the So-Called “Respect for Marriage Act” and any attempted substitute amendments.
