The NIH recently announced that until October, it will not renew or issue new grant “subawards” (agreements between the primary grantee and partners) if those subawards go to any laboratories or hospitals outside the United States. Representative Seth Magaziner (D-RI-02) is circulating a "Dear Colleague" (request from one Member to another) asking Representatives to sign onto a letter to NIH Director, Dr. Jay Bhattacharya, opposing this disruption of NIH grants for critical new and ongoing research partnerships.
